Privacy Policy
(or: We Won’t Sell Your Secrets for Sequins)
At Dizco Chaos (www.dizcochaos.co.uk), we take your privacy as seriously as we take our glitter stockpile. You’re trusting us with your information, and we promise to handle it responsibly — no shady business, no unnecessary spam, and absolutely no selling your details to random strangers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, usually when the lawyers tell us to or when the GDPR elves demand it. Check back occasionally to stay in the loop. The latest version was last updated on 4 July 2025
1. Who We Are
We’re Dizco Chaos — makers of unique, affordable rave & festival hats that bring the party to your head without wrecking your privacy.
This policy explains how we collect, store, and use your personal data when you visit our website, place an order, or otherwise interact with us.
2. What We Collect
We collect just enough personal data to send you your fabulous hat, and not a bit more:
- Name
- Email address
- Postal address (including postcode, obviously)
- Any correspondence between us (like when you tell us how much you love your hat).
We also collect website usage info (like what pages you visit, abandoned cart data, etc.) to make our site better for you and everyone else. This sometimes involves cookies — see Section 8.
We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you’re under 16, please get a responsible adult to help you shop.
3. What We Do With Your Data
We use your data to:
✔ Process and ship your order
✔ Contact you about your order
✔ Improve our website and understand customer behaviour
✔ (With your consent) tell you about our new products, deals, or daft ideas
M
We will never use your data to bombard you with irrelevant spam. And you can unsubscribe or tell us to stop at any time — see Section 7.
4. Sharing Your Data
We don’t sell your data. Ever.
We only share it with trusted third-party service providers who help us run our business (like website hosting, payment processing, and email services), and they’re bound by strict confidentiality and security standards.
We may also share data if required by law or to protect our rights and customers — but hopefully it never comes to that.
5. How Long We Keep Your Data
We only keep your data for as long as we need it to provide you with our services (or as long as the taxman insists).
- Order info: [insert reasonable time, e.g., 6 years for tax purposes]
- Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe
- Account info: until you delete your account or ask us to remove it
6. Your Rights
You have rights — and we respect them. You can:
✨ Request a copy of the data we hold about you
✨ Correct any mistakes
✨ Withdraw consent or unsubscribe
✨ Ask us to delete your data (unless we’re legally required to keep it)
✨ Object to how we process your data
✨ File a complaint with the UK’s ICO if you’re really not happy
Contact us anytime to exercise these rights — details below.
7. Cookies (Not the Chocolate Chip Kind)
We may use cookies to improve your experience on our site, remember your preferences, and analyse how people use the site. You can turn off cookies in your browser settings, but it might make things less smooth.
8. Keeping Your Data Safe
We take reasonable precautions and use industry-standard practices to protect your information from misuse, loss, or unauthorised access. We also don’t keep your credit card details — those are handled securely by our payment processor.
